Our peppered version of Kerala's iconic Nendran banana chips, freshly coated with cracked black pepper after frying. The Nendran banana (Kerala's flagship cultivar) is sliced, fried in virgin wood-pressed coconut oil following ancestral tradition, then seasoned with rock salt, turmeric and black pepper for a snack that is both crispy and pleasingly spicy.
Black pepper enhances the natural sweetness of Nendran bananas. Perfect as an apéritif with a cool drink, or as a counterpoint to a cheese platter. Artisanal frying in single-use coconut oil guarantees a wholesome product without oxidised fats.
Nendran bananas grown in Kerala by the Kudumbasree network of women's cooperatives committed to sustainable farming. Fried in wood-pressed virgin coconut oil, never reused. Gluten-free, vegan.
