If you love the aroma of Indian food wafting through the nearby Indian restaurant, learning the secrets of roasting and seasoning Indian spices is one of the most important aspects to learning about Indian cuisine. Embrace the spices and don’t let them intimidate you anymore! With just a few spices and our secrets learn how to take your basic recipes to a completely next level, that you will be hooked onto them.

How will the workshop take place?

  • Mihika will arrive at your location with the ingredients (depending on the menu option chosen) and kansa plates.
  • She will explain the recipe and the spices that we will use in this dish.
  • Each person present will be delegated a task for cooking the dish.
  • The steps and importance of each step will be discussed in detail as we cook the recipe.
  • Once the food is ready, we will serve it into the kansa dishes and you will be able to enjoy the meal with your family and friends.

What do you need to know?

  • You need to provide a space or an equipped kitchen for this atelier to take place (e.g., your home kitchen).
  • The utensils required for this atelier will be from your kitchen (if you do not have particular kitchen equipment, kindly let us know in advance).
  • You will provide traveling expenses, if any.
  • This activity can only take place for groups of 2 to 5 people.

Kansa plates have been used in indian kitchen's for thousand's of years.They are considered a part of ancient wisdom and heritage. Highly valued in Ayurveda, they are made from an alloy of copper and tin. It is believed that eating in kansa plates helps balance your doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) and sharpens your intellect. This also lets you experience fully the experience of eating an indian meal.
