2.4 Product descriptions and photographs
Each product or service is presented on the Site by way of a description sheet specifying its essential characteristics, price, any specific conditions and, where applicable, its allergens (food products).
Product photographs aim to present items as accurately as possible but cannot guarantee a perfect match, particularly regarding colours, shades and finishes of handcrafted items and block-printed pieces, which are unique by nature.
Article 3 — Prices
Product prices are shown in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes, excluding shipping costs. Under the French VAT exemption regime (Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code), no French VAT is currently charged.
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed before the final validation of the order, according to the chosen shipping method and the destination.
Table Indienne reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Products are nevertheless invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the order is validated, subject to availability.
Article 4 — Ordering

- selection of products and addition to the basket;
- review and validation of the basket;
- identification (account creation or guest checkout);

After validation, a confirmation email containing the order details is sent to the Customer at the email address provided. This email, together with these T&Cs, constitutes the formal contract.
Table Indienne reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order in case of a prior dispute with the Customer, an unpaid balance on a previous order, or suspicion of fraud.
Article 5 — Payment
Accepted payment methods are:
- online: credit/debit card (via secure third-party providers), PayPal, bank transfer;

The available shipping methods and their rates are presented to the Customer during the checkout process.
As an indication, the average delivery time to metropolitan France is 3 to 5 business days from order preparation. Delivery times for other destinations are shown at the time of selecting the shipping method. These are average times and do not constitute a firm commitment by the Seller; they may be affected, in particular, by factors attributable to carriers.
6.3 Parcel pickup points
Parcel pickup deliveries are operated through the Mondial Relay network (staffed pickup points and self-service lockers), in the countries served by this carrier at the time of order (notably France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland).
6.4 Free shipping
Shipping is offered free of charge to metropolitan France for orders of €45 or more (minimum amount excluding shipping costs and discounts). Conditions and thresholds applicable to other destinations are specified on the Shipping & Delivery page of the Site.
6.5 Receipt and reservations
It is the Customer's responsibility to check the condition of the parcel upon delivery and, in the event of damage or missing items, to issue precise reservations to the carrier and to inform Table Indienne by email within 3 business days of receipt.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Articles L. 221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the consumer Customer has a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of the last item composing their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to justify their decision or incur penalties, with the exception of return costs.
7.1 How to exercise
The Customer notifies their decision to withdraw by any unambiguous statement sent to contact@table-indienne.fr, mentioning their name, the original delivery address, the order number and the products concerned.
7.2 Return procedure
The Customer returns the products, at their own expense, in their original condition (new, complete, unopened packaging for food products) within a maximum of 14 days from the notification of withdrawal.
7.3 Refund
Table Indienne refunds the full amount paid (excluding return shipping costs) within 14 days of receipt of the returned products, or from the Customer's proof of shipment, whichever is earlier. The refund is processed using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
7.4 Exceptions
Pursuant to Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to:
- goods liable to deteriorate or expire quickly (foodstuffs);
- goods unsealed by the Customer after delivery that cannot be returned for hygiene or health-protection reasons (opened spices, opened kits, etc.);
- services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period, where the Customer has expressly waived their right (workshops already held, travel advisory services already rendered);
- goods made to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalised;
- contracts for transport, catering or leisure services to be provided on a specific date or in a specific period.
Article 8 — Legal warranties
All products on sale benefit from:
- the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L. 217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code), for a period of two (2) years from delivery of the goods;
- the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code), action being available within two (2) years from discovery of the defect.
During the first 24 months, the Customer is not required to provide proof of the existence of the non-conformity. They may, at their choice and within the legal conditions, request repair or replacement of the item, failing which a price reduction or termination of the contract.
Any claim under the legal warranties must be sent to contact@table-indienne.fr, specifying the order number and the nature of the defect.
Article 9 — Product availability
Product offers are valid within the limits of available stock. In the event of unavailability after the order has been placed, the Customer is informed by email as soon as possible and is offered either cancellation and full refund of the order, or replacement by an equivalent product.
Article 10 — Loyalty programme
10.1 Principle
The Table Indienne loyalty programme is currently in force. It applies to all purchases made with Table Indienne, whether on the Site, in the physical shop, or at markets and events where Table Indienne is present.
Membership is free and automatic upon creation of a customer account. The programme is open to any adult natural person, without any residency condition, acting for purposes outside the scope of their commercial, industrial, craft or professional activity.
10.2 Tiers
The programme features five progressive tiers:
| Tier | Threshold (cumulative points) | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Turmeric | 0 | 1.00 × |
| Cardamom | 500 | 1.25 × |
| Black Pepper | 1,200 | 1.50 × |
| Vanilla | 2,500 | 1.75 × |
| Saffron | 5,000 | 2.00 × |
Once a tier is reached, the Customer retains that status permanently; no downgrade is applied.
10.3 Earning and validation of points
For each euro spent across Table Indienne's sales channels — Site, physical shop, markets and events — (excluding shipping costs, discounts and taxes), the Customer earns a number of points equal to the multiplier of their tier.
For online purchases, points appear immediately in the Customer's account but only become usable after a fourteen (14) calendar-day period corresponding to the statutory withdrawal period. For purchases in the shop or at markets, points are credited after reconciliation with the customer identifier provided at the time of purchase; the validation delay is then purely administrative.
Any withdrawal, cancellation or return of an order leads to the corresponding cancellation of the associated points.
10.4 Conversion into discount vouchers
Validated points may be manually converted into discount vouchers from the My rewards section of the customer area. Vouchers:
- can only be used on the Site;
- are valid for 3 months from conversion;
- are not combinable with other promotional codes;
- are neither exchangeable for cash nor transferable;
- apply to the total order amount excluding shipping;
- are permanently forfeited if not used within their validity period.
10.5 Validity of points
Validated loyalty points are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of validation. Expired points are automatically removed from the Customer's account without prior notice.
10.6 Personal and non-transferable nature
The programme is strictly personal and nominative. Points and vouchers may not be assigned, sold, transferred, exchanged for cash or goods outside the Site, or used for commercial purposes.
Table Indienne reserves the right to delete manifestly fraudulent accounts (creation of multiple accounts, manipulation of the programme, etc.) and to cancel the associated points.
10.7 Exclusions
No points are awarded for: shipping or service fees, amounts actually paid using a discount voucher or rebate.
10.8 Modification, suspension and termination of the programme
Table Indienne reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the programme at any time. Material changes are notified to Customers at least 30 days in advance. Rights acquired before the change are maintained until the relevant points and vouchers expire.
In the event of permanent discontinuation of the programme, Customers have 3 months to convert their validated points into discount vouchers.
10.9 Account suspension or closure
Table Indienne reserves the right to suspend or close a customer account and cancel the associated points and vouchers, in particular in case of: breach of these T&Cs, fraudulent use of the programme, inappropriate behaviour towards Table Indienne or its service providers, opening of multiple manifestly fraudulent accounts. Suspension or closure results in the immediate and definitive loss of all unused points and vouchers.
Article 11 — Liability
Table Indienne undertakes to use the means necessary to properly perform its obligations. It cannot be held liable for inconveniences or damages inherent to the use of the Internet (service interruption, external intrusion, viruses, etc.) beyond its control.
With respect to physical products, Table Indienne's liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, expressly excluding indirect damages (loss of profits, loss of opportunity, etc.). With respect to services (workshops, travel advisory), specific conditions apply and are detailed in the associated contracts.
Article 12 — Protection of personal data
Personal data collected by Table Indienne in the context of the contractual relationship (name, address, email, etc.) is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).
The processing of such data, its purposes, retention period, as well as the Customer's rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent) are detailed in the Privacy Policy accessible from the Site.
With specific regard to newsletter sign-ups, the Customer gives express consent by entering their email address into the dedicated form; the date, source and IP address of this consent are retained for evidentiary purposes.
The Customer may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link present in every commercial email, from their customer area, or by sending a request to contact@table-indienne.fr.
With regard to abandoned-basket reminder emails, Table Indienne sends identified Customers who have added items to their basket without completing checkout up to three reminders spread over time. The legal basis is the Seller's legitimate interest in completing a transaction initiated by the Customer. The Customer may opt out of these reminders at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by sending a request to contact@table-indienne.fr.
Article 13 — Cookies
The Site uses cookies for proper operation, audience measurement and, subject to the Customer's explicit consent, for personalisation and advertising measurement purposes. The terms governing the use and management of cookies are detailed in the Cookie Policy accessible from the Site.
Article 14 — Force majeure
Table Indienne cannot be held liable for non-performance or delays in performing its obligations in the event of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code and French case law: general strikes, severe weather, natural disasters, import restrictions, etc.
Article 15 — Evidence
Computerised records kept on the IT systems of Table Indienne and its partners (payment service providers, carriers, etc.) under reasonable security conditions shall be considered as evidence of communications, orders and payments between the parties.
Article 16 — General provisions applicable to all workshops
The provisions of this Article apply to all workshops organised by Table Indienne — Indian cooking workshops (Article 17) and block printing workshops (Article 18). Provisions specific to each type of workshop are set out in the dedicated Articles.
16.1 Booking and price
A workshop may be booked online on the Site, in the physical shop, or at markets and events where Table Indienne is present. Payment is required upon booking. The date, location, duration, content and price of each workshop are specified on the corresponding listing.
16.2 Cancellation by the Customer
- Cancellation received at least 15 calendar days before the workshop date: full refund of the booking price.
- Cancellation received less than 15 days before the workshop date: no refund is due. The reserved place may neither be postponed nor transferred to a third party, save with the express consent of Table Indienne.
16.3 No-show
A Customer who does not attend the workshop at the agreed date and time, without prior cancellation, forfeits the entire amount paid. No postponement or refund is due in this case.
16.4 Cancellation by Table Indienne
In case of cancellation by Table Indienne (force majeure, unavailability of the instructor, or any other cause attributable to the Seller), the Customer is offered, at their choice:
- either postponement of the booking to a new date;
- or a full refund of the booking price.
No further compensation may be claimed from Table Indienne beyond the effective refund of the price paid by the Customer.
16.5 Minimum attendance
Workshops are not subject to any minimum number of participants to be held.
16.6 Minors
Minors may attend workshops provided they are accompanied for the entire duration by at least one adult. The accompanying adult remains responsible for the minor, in particular with regard to the use of equipment and exposure to the risks inherent to the type of workshop concerned (see Articles 17 and 18).
16.7 Image rights
Photographs or videos may be taken during workshops for communication purposes (social media, website, promotional materials) by Table Indienne or its representative.
The Customer (or, for a minor, the accompanying adult) gives or refuses consent to such capture and dissemination via the pre-workshop form (see Article 17.2 for cooking, Article 18.3 for block printing). In the absence of consent, the Customer will not appear in the disseminated materials.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time by email to contact@table-indienne.fr; Table Indienne undertakes to remove the relevant images from the materials it controls within a reasonable timeframe.
16.8 Behaviour and exclusion
Table Indienne reserves the right to exclude from a workshop, without compensation, any participant whose behaviour disrupts the proper conduct of the service: failure to comply with safety instructions, manifest intoxication, verbal or physical violence, etc.
Article 17 — Indian cooking workshops
17.1 Nature of the service
Table Indienne organises Indian cooking workshops during which participants learn to prepare traditional dishes under the supervision of an instructor. Utensils, ingredients and aprons are provided. At the end of the workshop, participants enjoy the dishes prepared together.
The provisions of Article 16 (booking, cancellation, no-show, minors, image rights, exclusion) apply.
17.2 Allergies, intolerances and dietary restrictions
Before each workshop, the Customer (or the adult accompanying a minor) receives a dedicated form to be completed and returned before the workshop is held. This form allows the Customer to declare any allergy, intolerance or dietary restriction, and to give or refuse consent to the image rights referred to in Article 16.7.
Failing return of the completed form before the workshop, Table Indienne cannot be held liable for the possible consequences of exposure to an allergen during the workshop.
17.3 Cross-contamination
Table Indienne endeavours to adapt recipes to declared constraints as far as possible, but cannot in any case guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination (gluten, nuts, sesame, dairy products, eggs, etc.) in its workshop. A Customer suffering from a severe allergy remains the sole judge of whether to attend the workshop given this residual risk.
17.4 Minors in cooking workshops
Accompanied minors may handle, under the constant supervision of the accompanying adult and the instructor, blades, sharp utensils and cooking equipment whose use presents inherent risk. The accompanying adult assumes full responsibility for the supervision of the minor during these handlings.
Article 18 — Block printing workshops
18.1 Nature of the service
Table Indienne organises block printing workshops during which participants print patterns onto fabric supports using hand-carved wooden blocks. Blocks, inks, supports and aprons are provided.
The provisions of Article 16 (booking, cancellation, no-show, minors, image rights, exclusion) apply.
18.2 Materials, inks and clothing
The inks used in block printing workshops are prone to staining. Customers are advised to wear clothing whose potential staining would not be a concern, or to use the apron provided. Table Indienne cannot be held liable for ink stains on the Customer's clothing, accessories or personal effects.
18.3 Pre-workshop form and image rights
Before each workshop, the Customer (or the adult accompanying a minor) receives a dedicated form allowing them to give or refuse consent to the image rights referred to in Article 16.7, and to report any particularity useful for the smooth running of the workshop (contact allergy to inks, mobility restriction, etc.).
18.4 Minors in block printing workshops
Accompanied minors may handle, under the constant supervision of the accompanying adult and the instructor, tools that may present a risk (gouges, carving blades for workshops involving a carving stage, heavy blocks, etc.). The accompanying adult assumes full responsibility for the supervision of the minor during these handlings.
Article 19 — Travel advisory services
19.1 Nature of the service
Table Indienne offers a travel advisory and planning service for trips to India, distinct from regulated travel-agency activity within the meaning of the French Tourism Code (Code du Tourisme). These services include: the design of personalised itineraries, the recommendation of local providers, assistance with administrative procedures, the accompaniment of groups (from 10 people).
19.2 What Table Indienne does not do
Table Indienne does not sell tourist services, does not collect any payment on behalf of third-party providers (airlines, hotels, inbound agencies, etc.) and is not registered in the register of travel and stay operators provided for by Article L. 211-18 of the French Tourism Code.
19.3 Customer's obligations
The Customer is solely responsible for: booking and paying for flights, accommodation and any other tourist services; subscribing to travel insurance covering cancellation, repatriation and medical expenses (mandatory); obtaining the required visas and verifying the validity of their passport.
19.4 Pricing
Advisory services are invoiced on a flat-fee basis, independently of the cost of the tourist services that the Customer subsequently chooses to book from recommended or other providers.
19.5 Limitation of liability
Table Indienne cannot be held liable for: the quality or failure of recommended providers; cancellations, modifications or delays of flights, accommodation or transport; unforeseeable events affecting the trip (epidemics, political unrest, natural disasters, etc.).
The Customer acknowledges having been informed of the need to subscribe to travel insurance and confirms having effectively subscribed to such insurance before departure.
Article 20 — Customer reviews
20.1 Origin and collection
All reviews published on the Site come exclusively from Customers having placed an order with Table Indienne (Site, physical shop, markets and events). Customers are invited to leave a review within fourteen (14) days after dispatch or handover of the order, by email or from their customer area.
20.2 Purchase verification
Each review is linked to an identified order. The "Verified purchase" label is applied when the Customer has effectively purchased the product from Table Indienne.
20.3 A posteriori moderation
Reviews are published after manual a posteriori moderation. The average publication delay is forty-eight (48) business hours.
20.4 Grounds for refusal of publication
In accordance with the French order of 9 December 2021 on the procedures and content of information that must accompany online reviews, a review will not be published, in particular, in the following cases: insulting, defamatory, racist, sexist or unlawful content; mention of personal data identifying third parties; external links or promotion of competitors; content unrelated to the product; manifest manipulation; mentions of promotional prices liable to mislead.
20.5 Compensation
Customers whose review is published receive loyalty points usable on the Site. Negative reviews are treated in exactly the same way as positive reviews and give rise to the same points, provided these T&Cs are complied with.
20.6 Publication date and experience
Each review displays its date of publication. When the review is linked to an identified order, its purchase date is also displayed, so that the reader may assess how recent the experience described is.
20.7 Sorting and display
By default, reviews are sorted in descending date order (most recent first). Customers may filter reviews by rating or by verified status.
20.8 Customer's rights regarding their reviews
From the customer area (section "My reviews"), the Customer may: access all of their reviews, request modification of a published review by contacting customer service, request deletion of a review, report a third-party review that is not compliant.
20.9 Retention of reviews
Published reviews are retained without time limit for as long as the product concerned is on sale. If a product is withdrawn from the catalogue, reviews are retained for a maximum of three (3) years, then deleted. The Customer retains, at any time, the right to request the deletion of their reviews under their right to erasure provided for by the GDPR.
20.10 Response from Table Indienne
Table Indienne reserves the right to respond publicly to a review, in particular to provide clarifications, additions or factual corrections. Such responses are displayed below the review and subject to the same moderation rules.
Article 21 — Dispute resolution
21.1 Applicable law
These T&Cs are governed by French law.
21.2 Amicable resolution
In the event of a dispute, the Customer is invited to contact Table Indienne first at contact@table-indienne.fr in order to seek an amicable solution.
21.3 Consumer mediation
In accordance with Articles L. 612-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, the consumer Customer may, in case of failure of the prior amicable approach, refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator listed by the French Consumer Mediation Evaluation and Control Commission, available at https://www.economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso/.
21.4 European online dispute resolution platform
The European Commission makes available an online dispute resolution platform accessible at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
21.5 Competent courts
Failing an amicable settlement or successful mediation, disputes arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs shall be brought before the competent French courts, subject to any more favourable legal provision for the consumer Customer enabling them to bring proceedings, at their choice, before the court of the place where they resided at the time of conclusion of the contract or at the time the harmful event occurred.
Article 22 — Amendments to the T&Cs
Table Indienne reserves the right to adapt or amend these T&Cs at any time. The T&Cs applicable to an order are those in force on the day the order is validated. Material changes will be communicated to the Customer beforehand.
