Our exotic Indian ingredients

Pickles and condiments

Indian pickles (achaar) are much more than simple condiments - they are an integral part of every Indian meal, bringing an explosion of sour, spicy and salty flavors that enhance all dishes.

  • Mango pickles: The most popular Indian pickle, prepared with green mangoes, mustard oil and spices. Essential with dal, rice or complete thali
  • Dried mango: Dehydrated mango slices, sweet and tangy, perfect as a snack or to enhance your dishes

Papad and crispy accompaniments

Papad (or papadum) is a thin crispy lentil wafer, essential in Indian cuisine.

  • Plain or spiced papad: Lentil wafers to grill or fry in seconds, served as appetizer or crispy accompaniment to curries

Special spices and powders

Rare spices that give their unique character to certain regional Indian dishes.

  • Yellow chili powder: Milder and fruitier chili variety than red chili, used in certain curries and marinades
  • Cockscomb powder (Sajna): Powder from cockscomb seeds, rich in iron, traditionally used in dals and soups from South India
  • Podi: Mixture of roasted lentils and spices ground into powder, specialty from South India. Sprinkle on dosas, idlis or mix with rice and ghee

Fresh herbs and leaves

Fresh ingredients essential for the authenticity of many Indian dishes.

  • Curry leaves (Kari patta): Indispensable aromatic herb from South Indian cuisine. Used fresh or dried in tempering (tadka), they bring a unique, lemony fragrance

Indian teas and infusions

Traditional Indian teas are much more than simple drinks - they are sensory experiences rich in history.

  • Kashmiri Kahwa: Traditional fragrant green tea from Kashmir, infused with saffron, cardamom, cinnamon and almonds. Comforting winter drink with digestive properties
  • Butterfly Pea Tea: Natural blue infusion with antioxidant properties. Changes color with lemon - spectacular and healthy
  • Dried rose petals: Used in Indian desserts (gulab jamun, kulfi), fragrant teas and sweet spice blends. Bring a delicate floral touch

How to use these ingredients?

Mango pickles:

Serve a small amount as a side to your main dishes. Pickles keep for months in the refrigerator once opened. Their intensity enhances any simple meal.

Papad:

Toast for a few seconds on each side over direct flame or in the oven, or fry in oil. They puff up and become crispy instantly. Serve as appetizer or crumble over dal.

Curry leaves:

Sauté in hot oil at the beginning of cooking (tadka) to release their aroma. Essential in sambars, rasams and most South Indian dishes.

Podi:

Mix with hot rice and ghee for a simple, comforting dish, or sprinkle on dosas and idlis. Keeps long in an airtight container.

Kahwa:

Infuse in simmering water for 5-7 minutes. Traditionally served without milk, sweetened with honey. Perfect after a hearty meal to aid digestion.

Recreate the authentic thali experience

A traditional Indian thali is much more than a simple meal - it's a platter composed of multiple small dishes that create a symphony of flavors, textures and colors. Our exotic ingredients allow you to compose a complete and authentic thali:

  • Main dish in the center (curry, dal)
  • Rice or Indian bread
  • Small portion of mango pickle for spice
  • Crispy papad on the side
  • Yogurt raita to cool
  • Finish with Kahwa tea or rose petal tea
