Masala chaas is a traditional Indian yoghurt-based drink — light, refreshing and ideal for hot days. Hugely popular in summer, it also aids digestion thanks to its gentle spices and fresh herbs. Perfect alongside a spicy meal, a barbecue, or simply as an aperitif.
🌿 Use unsweetened plain yoghurt. The more water you add, the lighter the drink will be. Roasted cumin gives a softer, more aromatic flavour than raw ground cumin.
