Ingredients

  • Peeled carrots in rounds: 500g
  • Yellow onion, sliced: 1
  • Lakadong turmeric: 1 teaspoon Lakadong Turmeric Powder
  • Thick crème fraîche: 1 large spoonful
  • Vegetable broth: 750ml
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

    The Base: Sauté the onion in a drizzle of olive oil. Add carrots and turmeric. Stir for one minute to release the aromas.

    The Cooking: Pour in the broth and cook for about 20 minutes until carrots are tender.

    The Blending: Blend everything until perfectly smooth.

    The Finishing Touch: Add crème fraîche just before serving.

Tips

The crème fraîche can be replaced with coconut milk for a plant-based version. For more depth, add a small piece of fresh ginger during cooking.
