Hand block-printed textiles: the bridge between India and Alsace
Our cotton tote bags and pouches come from a meeting of two crafts: wooden printing blocks hand-carved in India, which we bring back ourselves from our travels, and the artisanal printing we do ourselves in our workshop in Alsace. Each pattern is applied by hand, block after block — a technique we explain in detail in our article on the history of block printing.
The collection comes in two families: our tote bags, sturdy cotton bags for everyday use, such as the Cherries tote bag or the Lemons & Monstera tote bag, and our smaller pouches and drawstring bags, such as the Carrots drawstring pouch or the Lemons cosmetic pouch.
