Ingredients

  • Ripe mango (flesh, or mango purée): 150g
  • Greek or smooth yoghurt: 200g
  • Milk (or almond/oat milk): 80ml
  • White sugar (or agave syrup): 1 tablespoon (adjust to the mango's sweetness)
  • Green cardamom powder: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ice cubes: 3-4

Instructions

  1. 1
The Base — Peel and cut the ripe mango into pieces, then place it in the blender with the yoghurt.
  2. 2
The Hydration — Add the milk and sugar.
  3. 3
The Flavouring — Add the cardamom powder. A pinch of saffron infused in a spoon of warm milk elevates the colour and aroma.
  4. 4
The Blending — Blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  5. 5
Serving — Pour into tall glasses with ice cubes.

Tips

No fresh mango on hand? A well-ripened frozen mango works just as well. Creamier version: add a spoon of double cream. Dairy-free version: use coconut yoghurt and almond milk.
